Theres no place like Coloradowhen it comes to skiing and snowboarding.

The magnificient Rocky Mountains provide impressive skiing conditions for skiers of every age and talent levels, and some of the most incredible vistas the West has to give. Vail was set up by Pete Seibert and Earl Eaton in 1962, between the town of Eagle and Vail Pass, Colorado. Vail is modeled after EU ski cities, lots of which are car-free, and the city is partly car-free. Vail in addition has developed a rich culinary center with a various variety of restaurants and shopping. Like most surrounding Colorado ski location communities, the Vail economy relies seriously on tourism, and gives an amazing background for any Winter ski holiday. There are some great locations for a family holiday of skiing. Maine has one of the finest and most beautiful ski centers at Sugarloaf. Sugarloaf Mountain is the second hig! hest mountain in the state of Maine, 2nd only to Mount Katahdin, the highest. Ontario, Canada has a pretty and large ski destination on the south side of Georgian Bay called Blue Mountain. This could be a pretty spot for both skiing and lounging. Whiteface Mountain in NY State is a premier ski range, once home of the winter Olympic Games . Colorado is renowned for skiing, and aspen is linked with the game.

Alongside its famous sister resort, Vail, it draws many visitors to great holidays each year. The Frisco Important Park & Museum offers visitors an opportunity to experience life in Frisco in the 1800s. There are some impressive skiing and snowboarding options in the Rocky Mountain areas, including unique shopping and consequential areas to explore.

When deciding on accommodation alternatives, bed and breakfast or ski lodges offer unique alternative to informal hostels.
